I have one child of my own and I have had a child for my gay brother and his husband. Either I or my sister will carry the sibling. To be determined next month after testing is done. Same egg donor.

I have complex feelings toward it. I don't think it's always about a financial gain. Some women are like pregnancy and want to help others. It'd a dangerous line to be toeing. That imbalance of power feels gross especially if the surrogate is from a lower bracket

Celebs pay extra for privacy, discretion, and guaranteed results. There are certain where surrogacy is done because they have stronger laws for the benefit of the paying parents.

It does feel like it could be exploiting someone from a lower financial bracket but don't a lot of adopted babies' mothers come from same?

If a woman isn’t under duress and is willing to do it then fine. Everyone has different morals and beliefs. I personally don’t find it unethical when it’s gestational surrogacy and the woman accepts the risks of pregnancy and delivery. Some women enjoy being pregnant.

I personal don’t care for traditional surrogacy but again some women have no issue being a donor. If they want to do it and be properly compensated then I won’t object.
