Most unique school colors?

Weird choice. Chicago is a great school, but very few people are familiar with their colors. Has more than .001% of the population ever seen a UChicago sporting event in person or on TV? I haven't in my three decades or so of following college sports.

As for distinctive, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Miss State, and other more prominent teams use the same color scheme.

That Oregon green and yellow is loud. Also the Syracuse orange but they sometimes tame it with the navy blue.

That’s a fun and unique project! Here are a few more colleges with unusual or distinctive color schemes that might interest your Dd:

UC Santa Cruz: Navy blue and gold, but their mascot, the Banana Slug, often gets paired with bright yellow.
Virginia Tech: Chicago maroon and burnt orange—definitely stands out.
University of Oregon: Green and yellow, but they often incorporate neon tones, especially on sports gear.
Bowdoin College: Black and white—a very classic but unusual choice for a school color scheme.
University of Chicago: Maroon and white, which seems ordinary but is very distinctive when paired with their gothic campus.
Syracuse University: Orange. Just orange. They own it completely.
St. Olaf College: Black and gold—almost regal, but a little different from the usual yellow/gold combinations.
Princeton University: Orange and black—again, gives off Halloween vibes but is quite striking.

These schools each have something different that could add a quirky twist to your Dd’s collection!

This list is not out of the ordinary like the OPs....

ChatGPT gives averagely correct answers. Not always "the best" or "most insightful". That's why it's programmed with informal speech and compliments "fun and unique project" so you'll feel flattered and think more highly of the answers.

isn't that JMU colors, too?

Purple and Gold were the colors of my first cheerleading uniform, so I am actually partial to them

Yes, JMU is purple and gold. Great colors.

Yes, but of course, it’s a women’s college - One of the last few left in the country. So those colors aren’t so odd

Had my child picked Randolph, she probably would have taken classes there through the consortium. I had looked at SBC for her, but it didn’t have the programs she wanted.

She did like Meredith in NC.

My junior college was black/old gold. Old gold is dark yellow meets olive brown. It is not bright gold which is dark yellow. It is not Vegas gold which is beige. I love the color and I do not see much anymore. Alabama State is black and old gold. I hope they never change it.

I mean, UMD's red, white, black and gold. No big deal individually, but collectively? Unique and gorgeous.

I'd imagine, if TPTB there wanted to, the athletic teams could go full-on Oregon and have a quintillion different uniform/color combos - and I bet all of them would be amazing.

On purpose and specifically to be unique and don't forget the mascot is a Turkey.

Is the shade of maroon used at UC not Chicago maroon?
