Help me Understand Stanley Cups

Anonymous
Idk, I got a glass water bottle (wrapped in silicone). I don’t like the taste of water sitting in stainless steel.

People like to be a part of something larger than themselves: absent meaningful civic or religious life in this country, that presents as buying the same things that other people buy.

Drinking from something that came from TEMU is crazy work

Yes please don't do this. Dangerous

How did these even get popular? Did a celebrity in a show or movie or something use one and they became the rage? I don’t get it either it’s just a big cup?

I can't help you. I have no desire to lug around a bottle of water of any size. I guess I'm not the thirsty type.

They're not meant to be used like water bottles. They're great for keeping your drink cold in the car while you run errands all day or at your desk.

Stanley does make water bottles too and they don't leak because they've designed to be water bottles that can be put in a bag or whatever.

People who use the cups at the gym or outside where they can be knocked over are stupid.

Sippy cup for teens and adults, because people can't be bothered to do anything anymore.

straw so you can sip whatever you are drinking and not worry about staining you whitened teeth. That's what I heard anyway but I don't own one

Ha, that's what I said when one of my daughters asked for one! I told her she could buy her own but they don't fit in her backpack pocket and the teachers hate them because they're not spill proof so I wasn't buying one.

OP did you not ever want a specific brand of jeans in high school? For me it was Guess. They didn't look that much different from Lees or Levis but they had that little triangle and I wanted them so badly.

Stanleys are simply the current "it" item. Same with Lululemon (their clothes are no better than other similar athletic wear), etc.

I don’t see the big fuss about them either way, I have a Stanley, it works well, I use it a lot, I just have the one so I’m not collecting a huge shelf of all the different colors, that’s about it.

+1. I have one because I wanted a larger water bottle with a straw and handle.

Honestly the people who rant about people who like trends like Stanley, bogg bags, Birkenstock, Lululemon, seem very sad angry. They seem to think that disparaging others choice on inane topics somehow will make themselves feel better about their own choices.

Sorry but secure and happy people don’t spend the time to disparage others water bottle choices. They just don’t.

Question - do you take your Stanley outside? The thought of the straw being exposed to the elements (including flies/bugs) and then drinking out of it is so gross to me but maybe I'm missing something? I use Yeti's with flip tops so the part my mouth touches isn't left out in the open or ones with screw top lids, which offer the same protection. I do have a Yeti with a straw that I use at my desk (I work at home) but I would never take it out of the house.

It signals you're a total and utter tool and it's the continuation of the dumbing down of americans.

Agree - the thought of the open straw with whatever germs are flying around -- gross.

Stanley has been a brand since 1913 so I'm sure you have seen their products at some point.
