Cost for installing a level 2 EV charger

Tesla wall connector was around $450 from Amazon and they had to run the line pretty far from the opposite side of the house, that was like $1300.

We paid an electrician $1100 to install an EV charger in our garage in Fairfax County. This involved running a dedicated 60amp circuit from the panel in the basement to the garage and "thinning-out" several breakers in our panel to create space for the new circuit. I received other quotes for $1600 and $2400 from other electricians. In fairness, the $2400 quote involved installing a new subpanel to create additional panel spaces.

DC give you a tax rebate.

The District offers the following tax credits for alternate fuel infrastructure and alternative fuel conversions.

Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Credit
The Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Credit is a credit of 50% of the allowable costs for the purchase and installation of an alternative fuel storage and dispensing or charging station at a private residence, or on non-residential property designed for use by the public.
The credit shall not exceed $1,000 per station at a private residence and $10,000 per station on non-residential property designed for use by the public.
Any unused credits can be carried forward for two years.

You might want to start using it. Many EV rebalance the cells while charging and it is only complete when the car is fully charged. You can do it for while but it needs full charge. Though I imagine you are charging every two weeks of something like that?

We used a company called Effortless Electric a couple months back (Arlington). They were terrific - timely and professional - and handled everything. I highly recommend them!
