PP, people are upset at the direction the district took under her absolutely horrible leadership. Many of us are unsure if a recovery can be made atthis point give that many have moved or jumped ship for private schools. It affects our property values and more importantly, our childrens' wellbeing. It's a serious matter.

You’re seriously over analyzing the amount of people who have moved to private. It s a very small percentage of the overall number of students and new ones join each year. As far as personnel leaving the district, teachers have been leaving districts all over the country it’s not unique to MCPS or solely because of McKnight. Parents also play a large part as to why teachers are leaving. We’ve recovered mostly from the pandemic and are now back to regular schooling so why can’t the district recover from anything else???

I don't get the sole blame being placed on McKnight. She worked for the BOE and they have acted unethically in so many ways. The BOE needs to be held accountable for their actions.

Moving to private is not the issue. It’s the middle income families leaving the county entirely. We are not recovering from that.

Many, many people that do not track MCPS heard anout McKnight promoting a serial sexual harasser.

Not sure what you're talking about. She did a fine job. You aren't one of those people who were against her because of gender or race?

She promoted a serial sexual harasser.
That is a failure on her part.

“The current 2024-2025 salary for Dr. Monifa McKnight is $150,000 for a 9 month appointment”

Getting $150k for very little work. Not bad at all.

No, they are not.
First, it was the rich who were leaving. Then it was the upper class and now it's the middle class. So which one is it?
Ya'll need to make up your mind.

Nice brag how rich you are. For many of us that's not an option. Her and the BOE mismanagement of money is very serious.

Low and real middle income (150 and under) its a struggle to leave in MoCo due to housing prices. DCUM middle is fine.

False

Montgomery County has seen its middle-income population decrease by more than 25,000 people since 2005

Most of these posters were the same people who wanted her out from day one. They were not comfortable with an AA woman running things and just looked for excuses to dismiss her.

It is hard for you to accept that sexual harassment of staff is abhorrent.

Trumpers think this behavior is acceptable. It is not. An offender is an offender regardless of race.
