How to spell nickname?

Zaza if it rhymes with Gaza. If it doesn't, explain to us how it is pronounced (since you don't seem to know how to write things out phonetically, tell us what it rhymes with).

There are 3 different Josephine's in my kid's school who go by JoJo (including my own). Like others say, make sure she can recognize and spell the given name. I'd personally go with ZaZa, but it really does not matter in the least. A lot of kids have names that aren't strictly phonetic. They all figure it out in the end.

Peggy went along with nickname until 6th grade when she was called Piggy one too many times so went back to Margaret. Now she’s Margaret to her parents and older relatives but will introduce herself as Meg.

I personally can’t stand nicknames outside of family shorthand and I have a long name (Gwendolyn) that I refuse to shorten. Don’t call me anything other than how I’ve introduced myself.

Zaza doesn't have an obvious taunt associated with it in the year 2024. It's possible there will be some slang word invented that sounds like (or is) Zaza, but I'd consider it a pretty safe nickname.

OP, does it sound like the first syllable in "bottle" or the sound in "bad"?

I think having a second capital letter in your name is complicated so I would say Zaza

Zaza is cute! ZsaZsa is not

-teacher

+1 Zaza is cute, but Eliza or Maritza or whatever her real name is needs to learn how to write her legal name as a basic life skill.

She can use Zaza and also learn her “real” name. I did. Went by nickname (still do to some family and old friends) until college. I figured out how to spell it before then, I promise.

She says Zaw Zaw

So I assume it rhymes with a puppy's paw?
