Cover up dresses include everything from stuff you see on Amazon to Lily Pulitzer, there have been some pretty Ralph Lauren nap dresses lately too.

It's funny that this poster seems to be suggesting that amazon, Lilly Pulliitzer and Ralph Lauren are like a full spectrum of different styles.

NP. Well, that's because Amazon is very different from Lilly or RL.

Does that mean no two piece suits or no thongs or….

I find this thread totally fascinating.

We belong to a pretty nice club and 90% of woman are wearing bikinis, 75-80% of those are extremely cheeky or thong. But there are frequently no more than 10 people at the pool.

Kind of but not really. They're all super basic and boring.

So the majority of the women at your CC are wearing "extremely cheeky or thong" bikinis?

You don't belong to a CC lol.

NP here — that’s *much* better than the cheap looking Lilly styles I keep seeing mentioned here!

Nothing cheap about Lilly. Maybe it looks tacky to have one of those "matching head to toe" Lilly outfits with the matching bag, shoes, dress, headband, koozy for your waterbottle, etc.

But Lilly has always been a staple of country club style and no one will look at you amiss if you wear a Lilly shift dress as your cover up to a country club pool. You'll actually fit in perfectly.

Agree. The all black was a bunch of women trying to look skinnier. At least the Lilly wearers are owning it.

Coming from Palm Beach, I would wear Zimmerman, Ulla Johnson, etc. but I'm sensing the vibe here is more conservative. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Fancy!

Def not. This is what I wear…

Yes. This is the answer. Super basic and boring. There is no cc with 10 people at the pool. Large crowd and too much skin will get you noticed in the wrong way.

Chevy Chase Club has a hold on DCUM for some reason but it’s honestly kind of dumpy! You’ll be fine in anything that’s not jeans.

Come join us at our club, Pine Tree Associates in Crownsville, where it doesn’t matter what you wear as you’ll be asked to undress and wear your birthday suit. Awkward for a few minutes before you realize naked isn’t sexual, swimwear and clothes sexualize the person.

Too many uptight people in the DMV, try it and you’ll be surprised at how freeing it is.

It's because it's the most exclusive club in the area. And please dont listen to this loon's advice- you certainly need more than just jeans to actually fit in!

We do. Thank you. Again there typically very few people there as there are only a 2-300 members. Golf course only gets around 30-35 rounds a day.

It’s very nice! There are a lot of people living nearby who are willing to join. But I think it’s because of its proximity to lots of expensive housing, not because the facilities or the fashion are so dazzling.
