| I sprayed Roundup and the poison ivy is gone. Sorry not sorry. |
|
OP, I just called Poison Ivy Control of Maryland and have an appointment for them to come out on Monday.
Will let you know how it goes. |
| PP - thank you so much. I hope it goes well and they service VA! |
+1 After a few bouts of poison ivy requiring antibiotics and corticosteroid treatment, never again. |
PP here with update. Brendan Fallon from Poison Ivy Control of Maryland came by. They do indeed service northern Virginia. He said you could get him by calling the company (located in Michigan), or you could text him directly at 443-889-1092. It appears that he does all the control work for the company in the DC area. He searched throughout the yard for poison ivy and treated. He will come back in two weeks to check and treat any new growth not apparent now. I found him pleasant and knowledgeable; getting rid of PI appears to be his passion. Our PI was almost exclusively focused in one concentrated area, and he charged me $500, payable by check. Initially he said the minimum tended to be $700 (on up), but I think it was less in our case because the PI was not widespread. Good luck! |
