This has always bothered me. In the pilot Blanche’s bedroom was where the lanai later was. That bothered me too.

I think Blanche was supposed to be early fifties, and Rose and Dorothy maybe a few years older. Blanche goes through menopause during the show, and initially thinks she's pregnant lol.

I was so shocked to learn about the ages of the characters! I myself am 52, have gone through menopause, am divorced ,I have a 9-year-old kid and I do in fact live in florida! My life is nothing like the golden girls! LOL I work full-time and do stuff with my kid! And I have zero interest in another relationship. And my hair is not gray!

I'm 52 and not like either of you lol. Never married, no kids, retired and just enjoying life.
