It is definitely possible and many distance swimmers do it.

Either way, as a parent, be prepared for pressure to be applied by both Club coaches and Summer coaches (and often Summer team parents who invest a lot of their self-worth in winning Divisionals).

In the past, Saturday sessions didn’t start until 2 and it is distance events. The 12 and U don’t have to worry as their meet is the week before but it is really hard for the 13 and older group.

This year the 12 and U is the same weekend. Hopefully that does not become a regular thing because now in addition to summer swim considerations, some parents need to juggle multiple kids in different prelim/finals meets that are 60 miles apart.

Both the 12&U meet and the 13+ (junior champs) meet are the same weekend (inclusive of Saturday July 20). Last year, both of these meets were Saturday afternoon distance events.

That is divisionals weekend for MCSL, I don't know NVSL schedule.

Unnecessarily rude comment about summer swim parents. I'm sure your swimming behavior isn't all that different; just a different context.

It is for NVSL too. Wow I think all those meets will be hard to staff. There is a lot of overlap with officials.
