I just can’t manage to eat less

I don’t follow OP’s post. Why is it that she wants to eat less? Because someday, but not today, she might want to?

These eating threads are crazy.

I am like you OP. 5'4", 120 pounds, over 50. I eat more than my 220 pound husband, more than my 22 yr old son, and way more than most women my age and size. Mostly healthy, whole foods, but I need to eat frequently and don't find protein, fiber, or anything else, very filling. I've always been a big eater and only ever had an issue with my weight when I was stress eating junk food for years on end.

I mostly consider myself fortunate. But I get it - it took me a long time to have a healthy relationship with my body and with food. If I ate significantly less, I suppose I could weigh significantly less, but I feel healthy and strong at this size.

I somehow can sympathize with OP- I was the same. I could and did eat a lot of food without gaining.
Now in my 60s, I’m 20 lbs heavier and lack any kind of dietary discipline. Still not overweight but with belly fat.
On the other hand, I had 50+ years of blissful eating.

This is a non-problem now. Right NOW, you don’t need to eat less. As you age and become less active, lose muscle mass, you will likely have an appetite decrease as well. If you are not gaining weight right now, your food intake is balanced with what your body burns. Good
