Cooper -- less than 10

2nd Street -- 1 spot

We turned down out 2nd St/5th spot so at least one!

Do you mind sharing what seemed like a better option? DCI, private, staying put to finish 5th then figure it out?

Kid really wanted to stay at our Deal-feeder for 5th. Older sibling is at Latin and very happy there.

Guessing that meant “Hardy’s”

Hmmm, we have a decent WL number for Hardy 6th grade, and haven't seen much movement at all... Have others?

Not PP so I don't know whether "Hardest" meant "Hardy's" or not, but a good WL number is likely to move less than a bad WL number does.

This is a good point. MyschoolDC just opened up the feature for folks to remove themselves from waitlists - so it's possible that some of the movement right now is due to that rather than the schools actually offering more slots.

Hardy WL moved five spots for us yesterday. Guessing a discrete chunk like that was likely due to waitlist offers going out?

Walls list has moved 31 spots.

Any idea when they stop admitting off the waitlist?

When they hit 150 kids or October. Whichever comes first.

This sounds correct to me--assuming 150 is their goal this year? Some years ago, my kid got off the WL two weeks into the school year. If this is your family come this fall, be forewarned that the Walls teachers will expect your child to make up all the work they'd missed while attending another high school.

Any movement at Cooper?

High numbers have moved more, but my kid was <20 for 5th at Cooper and has moved only one spot closer

Ditto. Very very little movement for 5th at Cooper or Latin main (one or two spots).
