This post is bizarre and uneducated.
UTIs are common and are in no way an indication of cheating nor is it considered to be an STD. |
This thread shows how stupid people are. Thinking a UTI is an STD. A Google search will show it is not. Not even close. Sadly, these same people get to vote... |
Not if their unit is regularly in the rectum. |
Bingo and it might not be another 'lady' in that situation. |
Guys, guys - calm down! We don’t get UTIs; the women do. It’s just something that’s common among them (the women), but we rarely get them (unless you are a really old man or are in a wheelchair or have a catheter or something). DH has a sexually transmitted infection. |
VERY RARE AMONG MEN. |
1. Male UTIs are rare. 2. No one is saying a UTI is an STD. 3. People are saying (rightly) that STDs can cause UTIs. 4. The issues (other than STD) that cause UTIs in males (prostate, stones, poor hygiene) do not self resolve which brings us back to STDs being the likely cause of male UTIs |
Hi OP! - did you SEE the diagnoses from the man’s doctor? Or, - let me guess here: - your friend SAID her husband is having an “issue” and surely it can only be a “UTI?” Symptoms for male UTIs are very similar to the symptoms for an STD / STI. Guess which one is more common. (hint: he probably has an STI). Another fun fact: - having an STI/STD is embarrassing and shameful, especially as a married person, versus: - UTI? that’s merely a health problem. Not shameful |
A friend's dh got a UTI and eventually was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer. |
Debbie Downer has entered the conversation. |
I would advise a close friend to also get screened for uti to get her into office and let Gyn take it from there. |
So you went to public school? |
Fact: A key difference between UTIs in men and women is that women are much likelier to contract UTIs from sex for anatomical reasons. Women have much shorter urethras than men, so sex is likelier to introduce bacteria into a woman’s urinary tract. Though not impossible, men are at much lower risk of getting a UTI from sex. Calling simple but harsh reality "Debbie Downer" is pretty glib. And immature. Cutesy and stupid way to mock a serious warning about why that DH should get a cancer screening. |
Some of y'all never took sex ed or have any knowledge about basic health stuff and it shows. |
