Yes and it blocks out light.


Thank you! Just tested my box without foil in the sun and it works great to poke the hole directly. I can see that a thicker box or corrugated cardboard might not work to get you that clear circle hole.

The ones we have look like some kind of dye-sublimation film. They will certainly fade.

The standards for eclipse glasses were established in 2015. So the 2017 glasses were fine unless they had holes are scratches. Many news stations mentioned this fact. If the glasses were certified with the following code ISO 12312-2, they were fine.
