Neighborhood High Schooler asking about a chance to clean houses; does this have negative social implications?

My classmate in college cleaned houses for her professors. She was a music major and this gave her extra money to rent the practice rooms on campus. The professors who had pianos at home also provided her with practice time before or after her cleaning session.

Moreover, seniors barely notice that freshmen exist, let alone take time to invent rumors about them.

No way. Insurance for one, optics of underage employees in the house; privacy.

I would hire the kid to help me do stuff, like clean out my attic, walk my dogs, or wash my cars.

I’m not sure why this is an issue when thousands of you hire babysitters and mothers helpers. So it’s not a question of privacy. It’s a question that you look down upon somebody who is trying to make a living doing manual work.

NP. It is possible she is looking for cleaning content for a social media channel. Housecleaning is very popular right now on TikTok and Instagram.

I cleaned houses in high school and I think positively about someone with the gumption to do this, but considerations are a bit more complex now.
