Short DJT?

Anonymous
I have no doubt a bunch of novice or first time investors bought on the first day thinking they hit a gold mine and now will be too stubborn to cut their losses. There is no way this is not a pink sheet stock, if even that, by the fall.

I'm not touching that with a 10ft pole, OP. I agree that shorting makes sense in theory, but I'm not wading into that mess. Good luck and post an update if you can!

My thesis is that 95% of anyone who is going to subscribe to Truth Social has already done so. If that is roughly accurate then I don't see how it scales up and out of its losses. Am I missing something? It would have to start selling consumables like groceries to get anything else out its base. DJT may be clever but there is no way Walmart, Costco, Kroger, Publix, etc just lies down and let's the Trump Organization eat their lunch.

I think it will go down quite a bit more

Source for “two million daily users”?

Crickets.

From today’s 8-K: “if you go down to the fourth paragraph under Overview, and then later in the section on Key Operating Metrics, you find this sentence (and others) …

At this juncture in its development, TMTG believes that adhering to traditional key performance indicators, such as signups, average revenue per user, ad impressions and pricing, or active user accounts including monthly and daily active users, could potentially divert its focus from strategic evaluation with respect to the progress and growth of its business.

A bit later it notes that not only will it not rely on these metrics but that it may cost too much to collect or report them …

TMTG may find it challenging or cost-prohibitive to implement such effective controls and procedures and may never collect, monitor, or report any or certain key operating metrics.

To sum it all up we get this …

TMTG does not currently, and may never, collect, monitor or report certain key operating metrics used by companies in similar industries

In other words, Truth Social doesn’t collect or report the key value metrics that the value of a social network is based on. And it probably never will.”

PP has no way of knowing how many daily users there are, and the company doesn’t plan to release that information to anyone.

“It was a no-brainer. You buy the stock, wait for Trump's fan base to hear about it, and enjoy your profit,” Al Shalloudi said.
Reuters interviews with more than a dozen investors that posted about their positions on social media platforms such as Reddit (RDDT.N), opens new tab and X found that most were looking to score a quick profit.
They bet that Trump supporters' fascination with the stock was untethering TMTG's stock price from the company's business fundamentals.”

No it’s not. Details about the initial lawsuit are in the Fleecing of the Rubes thread where all the Truth Social info was before it went public. This is Trump’s even dumber countersuit after the Trump fan founders accused him of diluting shares to cheat them out of their tiny portion of the company they asked for when they did all of the work. https://www.cnbc.com/2024/02/29/trump-media-sued-over-dwac-merger-share-dilution.html

Nope and he didn’t even file it in the right place. No more Florida state court for you Donnie, you have a public company and that sh!t needs to be in Delaware. https://thehill.com/business/4570973-trump-social-media-company-sues-co-founders/amp/

Interesting...

Anton Postolnikov is the nephew of Aleksandr Smirnov, the GOP fake FBI informant who was arrested related to the Hunter Biden stuff.

Coincidence?

I think not.

I bought DWAC when it was a spac last year and immediately turned around and sold it the next day for a huge profit.

Everything Trump touches turns to sht.

I knew it and wanted to quickly prosper from the lemmings who gobble up his bullsht.

I hate that so many people fall prey to PT Barnum’s like Trump. It’s sad. Fking educate yourselves, you rubes. He is a bad person and nothing he has ever done has been altruistic.

When will people learn that doing business with Trump is death? The man simply cannot honor any contract, any deal, any promise.
