| I wish there was more dancing in public. |
Happily grooving to a beat while grocery shopping or otherwise in public? Delightful and charming. Filming yourself for social media? Obnoxious, rude, and narcissistic as hell. Whether you're filming yourself or taking glam photos for your profile post, I DGAF and will walk on by or in between. |
Absolutely. If they aren't hurting anybody, the world can use more fun! |

I wouldn’t do it but would be amused to see adults doing it. Heck, it’s better than yelling at store staff or some sort of Karen meltdown.
Agree with others, please more dancing! |
Nah, if you’re doing this at the grocery store, I’m definitely walking between you and the camera: https://www.reddit.com/r/TikTokCringe/comments/kclyc1/people_just_trying_to_shop_smh/ |
I would probably stand there and read the label on a package innocently, blocking the camera. |
Actually we need none of the above. It's not which is worse, how about just none of them. |

Influencers/creators are the fastest growing small business segment in the U.S. for like the past 5 years, IIRC
Why do you hate small business, OP? /s |

I hate TikTok. We were on vacation at a nice restaurant on the patio... and parents were letting their daughters create tik tok dance videos in the parking lot 2 feet from the patio. Annoying as h*ll.

There is something mentally wrong with these people living their lives on social media/tik tok. The grown women acting like children or trying to show how sexy they are in their middle age disturb the fkkkk out of me (and I am a very fit middle aged woman).
It's a strange, narcisssitic world we live in now. |

How would I feel? Annoyed and embarrassed on her behalf?
I was vacationing in Italy a while ago and there was this girl who had set up her camera to catch her walking away from it, with a flowing skirt, and she kept doing it over and over. It made me crazy because she was literally walking at a wall. She had lost perspective to the point where she didn't even know that her video didn't make sense -- she wasn't walking towards anything that an actual person would be walking towards. But she wanted that walking-away from the camera cliche shot. |
If you like philosophy you might like reading Byung-Chul Han. He talks about this a LOT. |
| I think, “What would Stephen Colbert do?” and respond accordingly. |
| I would assume any person in public realizes they can be interrupted/not appear alone in video 100 of the time as they are in public- so I'd be about my business and not care. Sadly, I don't think I'd realize they were filming themself- I'd just think they were happy and dancing (if dancing reasonably well) or mentally ill (if not dancing well). |
