College of Wooster

I would peruse the Wooster voice to get an idea of what is going on. Several administrators have left and it seems that they are cutting some things.

My dd was super excited to go there but they it didn’t work out.

Where did she transfer? What was the main issue?
Going to visit soon. My child can probably get into more rigorous schools but has a learning disability and feels really beat up by high school AP classes. Sounds strange maybe but I’m looking for a school that won’t be too tough since he will play a sport too.
While I hope it’s not necessary, I always wonder how easy it is to transfer if it’s not a great fit.

Based on some of the feedback here, it may be worth looking at the Freshman retention rate. I think this is generally an underutilized metric that provides solid insight into the Freshman experience.

Freshman retention is 88% I think? Not as high as the elites but quite good relative to its acceptance rate.
