Lost all interest in spouse

Anonymous
I guess, four months later, he finally got a permanent offer in a new country. I'm not really interested in going, so I think I will just return to the US. It seems like a bad idea (no job, no home there, etc) but I don't know what else to do. I'm starting to feel really depressed abroad and my job prospects will not be good in this new country. On the other hand I know he will resent me if he turns it down because it's objectively a great opportunity for him. I feel like the biggest loser here: sacrificed a whole lot just to follow him and end up with nothing.

You will most likely feel MORE resentment if you follow your DH again to another foreign country.
I think you are on the right track to go back and find a proper job in the US. I don't think many thrive as a trailing spouse anyway (unless they have a fabulous expat package + in a culture they were interested in before moving there).

Move back. Get settled where YOU want to live. Then keep communication open. You may not want kids now, but you need to plan for it before it’s too late. Whether with him or not.

Or return for a 3 month visit.

How would divorce work and the division of assets? Move back, rent a small place and find a job to pay bills. Then you can get your money and do bigger things.
