| Do they have children? I’d warn them. |
| I’ve seen ads on Craigslist for gig work to go take pictures of a house. I got the vibe that it’s one of the corporations buying up houses, and is willing to part with $30 for fresh photos. |
I used to date a guy who was a private PI. He would have to case places for hours. I'm certain he would've been happy to have a mattress in his car to nap in for the overnight jobs. Maybe your neighbor is committing some sort of fraud and this is a PI who's Been hired to track them. |
| Does the house seem dilapidated or vacant? |

Possibly reverse mortgage checking up on the condition of the home.
Or, it's the UN planning their invasion of the US. Pick whichever one you think is likely. |
| I stopped and took a picture of a house a few months ago. They had cute landscaping and I wanted to save the idea. |
I bet this is it. There was another thread recently from someone who got a postcard from one of these places with a non- Google maps photo. Either that or a neighborhood busy body submitting code violations. We have one in Takoma Park who does a round of submissions every spring. |
| Insurance companies do this for renewal of homeowner’s insurance. Just had this done and the guy was here about 2 mins. |
I doubt there are a lot of refinancings happening right now... |
| I’m curious too because I came home at 10pm and saw someone taking photos of our house. He dipped back into the trail when he saw my headlights. |
| Probably taking pictures of comps. For someone’s appraisal |
Now that is strange. It was dark, and he came out of a wooded area? |
Taking photos in the dark? |
| Former resident, or family member of one? Taking photos to show family what the house looks like now, but trying to be quick about it so they didn’t look like a stalker-y creep. |
