Looking through CC and the UMD FB Class of 2028 page, the highest in-state Presidential I see is $5k/year. Most of the posters seem to be OOS and as others have noted, it looks like the top award was increased to $17.5k/year. Granted this is not necessarily a representative sample.

CS major admit is tough. If they got direct admit, that's a boon. UMD has restricted CS transfers starting this year (from 1000 to 100), while increasing direct admits by only 150 (from 450 to 600). They basically halved the CS major admits.

It's so competitive, so I wonder if they are giving out less merit aid for CS majors now to attract them.

My DC got $20K over four years last year, direct admit to CS. 1580 SAT; 4.92 wgpa (4.0 unw).
