How does your busy teen make $$ babysitting/other jobs?

OP, why don't you pay her to babysit her siblings so she has spending money?

She doesn't have time to babysit for other families. There's no rush to make money, is there? Why can't she just enjoy being a kid and focus on her activities?

It doesn't matter if she is extremely busy and wants to buy things. If she wants to earn the money she needs to work her way up.

Does she do garden work? She could winterize gardens now and in the spring do weeding, planting and mulching, but again her price needs to be so low that if she messes up or is just OK people will still be OK with it. Then as you build trust and a "business" you increase your fee.

She's had experience babysitting her siblings for probably 2 years, but we don't pay her as it's expected that she looks after them, I just think she's particularly ready now to start doing it for other people

You should pay her.

Maybe this has already been said, but with her experience, she should run a dance/cheerleading class for very young kids, like kindergartens. She could start small with families you know.

Or be a birthday party helper for at home parties. She could tell stories and teach simple games, dances, cheers. I think she could charge at least $50 for this. And timing might work..Weekend daytimes.

Or if she becomes CIT this summer, those kids’parents will hire her.

Her studio does this, she helps with 5 young cheer/dance classes, they don't pay her

They work during the summer as they’re too busy to work while school is in session.

Maybe start a week long camp in the summer with themes like princess, etc. She has experience working with kids it seems.
