Do Catholic universities prefer catholic prep kids?

I would agree for some colleges. I would not agree for the likes of BC, Georgetown, Villanova, which are as challenging admits as ever for admission from our Jesuit high school.


At least one of the kids of the Georgetown president went to Gonzaga so maybe the connection helps

Not really. The Georgetown president isn't making admission decisions. What helps is that the admissions office surely has relationships with Gonzaga (high school)'s college counseling office.

There’s a hierarchy to Jesuit and Catholic high schools too. That one in NY. There’s one in SF. Georgetown, ND etc love those schools.

Definitely matters. DS chose Gonzaga with main goal of getting into ND, and it worked.
