Real fur and alt proteins (squirrel, anyone?) will be the new trend. Fur is so much more environmentally sound than microplastic-shedding faux fur (which looks naff).

I feel like a clown in big hair but I think it looks so good on others.

I'm ready for more options with hair. bring it.

Is it in for regular people? I would love that.

Anything to end the ubiquitous long, stick-straight, middle part hair. My god, so unflattering to just about everyone over the age of 25. Nicole Kidman, Sarah Jessica Parker, Gwyneth P., I'm looking at you.

I'm the one you quoted, and I have one reaction to that photo, Yes! That is a style that I look fantastic wearing. Enjoy your curls, OP.

People will not be wearing their hair like that IRL. In fashion, it is common for people to wear an extreme of a style, something that would not be appropriate for street wear. Miley was clearly going for a runway look.

What's actually (already) in style is the 90s blowouts with big, bouncy curls (vs beachy waves). Or more bouffant takes on a French twist or a half-up look. Think VS Angels hair.

+1, Miley is a pop singer and she was at the Grammy's -- she also wore a "dress" made out of gold safety pins, and backless sequined jumpsuit with a plunging neckline, and a Bob Mackie number for her performance that was reminiscent of something Tina Turner would wear. It's over the top performance styling, not woman on the street styling.

I need to replace my Revlon One-Step (mine's on its last legs) and maybe investigate some volumizing products. I love that lift at the roots. I've been air drying my hair since the pandemic and it looks fine but I'm looking forward to returning to a bigger, more styled look.

This is what my hair looks like after I work to get it less poofy. Not the intended outcome

I call it "give up hair".

Even female execs who are middle-aged are doing this, along with dyed blonde hair. It's like an army of Brady Bunch clones took over my work.

Are we doing shoulder pads too? Like Dynasty or Designing Women? How about cute little slouchy boots with pointed toes?
