WAPO barely covers HS sports anymore. They should give up giving awards if they can’t be bothered to assign resources to it.

The mistake most people make is believing that the YNT kid is far superior than than their counterpart that also play at a high level.

High school is not club. There are four age groups combined. A 16 year old YNT kid doesn't always outshine the 18 year old elite ECNL player.

Yah and HS gives priority to Srs and Jrs as its should.

Is this all a fluke of age-grouping, or is All-Met not quite plugged into things? Or has the USSF scouting department overlooked a couple dozen superior players in the DMV alone?

Congrats to all three, in any case. One has signed to play for my Bulldogs. (Well, where I grew up -- can't really say "my" if I didn't go to school there, I guess.)

Well / how about you cross check the all-met players with their college careers and see if WAPO got it right.

I believe the last two VA all-met player of the year went on the make All - ACC freshman teams.
