They changed the policy a few years ago to announce by 6pm the night before whenever possible so I think they will

Literally down the minutes! Did they change process? I do not know how they have not called it yet.

I’m not sure what makes you say that.

The joke that was APS’ handling of the pandemic.

Get over it. Everyone in this area handled it the same way. Alabama did it differently but if you want their level of edu go ahead and try it.

I’d like to trade for their reduced level of depression and alienation from remote “learning” yes

I'm not so confident about Tuesday.

This is not even remotely the same.

It's the precedent. While I do not think school should have been closed that morning, there should have been a 2-hour delay. It was unexpected, and things were definitely slippery, cars iced over, etc.

They won’t call before Fairfax.

Fairfax called it like 20+ minutes ago.

Let it go! All local counties handled it the same. You sound like you’ll just use any opportunity to bash Duran.

No, that was not the forecast as ground temps were not going to support the snow sticking.

Except... that the snow *did* stick, and there were loads of icy spots. A delay should have been called in the morning.

Not all over the county. By the time I got to my school at 8:20 there was almost no evidence of snow

Well, many people arrive at their school 1-2 hours earlier than you. And decisions should be made to consider the whole county, not just one specific neighborhood.

6:01, and no decision. Duran DGAF. Schools will be open. Maybe a delay in the morning.
