Even with 3. I get that it would be very hard to afford 3…. But most people cannot afford private school. It seems like a crazy income bracket to qualify for aid.

So they're supposed to pay $165K out of $300K pre-tax?

So let's say they take home $200K (which is about reality on a $300K income). Then they live off $35K and pay $165K to the school?

My sense at our school is that they would not offer aid for kid1 or kid2, but then when kid 3 applied they might offer aid.

At that income they could pay for 2 lower school tuitions, and maybe up to $100K in tuition for 3. Yes, it’s tight but the point is that private school is a luxury and they are picking this luxury over other ones.
