| What’s the Langley Insta handle? |
| Do these insta pages include trade schools or those working at starbucks or for their family restaurant? |
Hilarious. I doubt they feel sorry about themselves. |
How sad that fun is that rare. |
| at our private, the cooler kids don't submit til later, if at all. |
Once kids have accepted and know where they are going, it seems so strange to hide that decision from your classmates. Don't brag, but totally fine to be excited about your decision. Posting online is a non-confrontational way of telling your classmates. Where you're going to decision is a fact, not something to hide. (Under no circumstance should kids or parents share acceptances. That's private information.) |
I've definitely seen trade schools and military enlistment on these "decisions" accounts. I've never seen Starbucks (or any other retail.) |
+1 There are normally a few kids on public schools that list military enlistments, beauty school, trades, rtc. But far fewer of those kids post. |
Not on private schools? |
Oh, the kids don’t feel sorry for themselves. They think they’re the shit! It’s just sad that they have to post about it to get a feeling of self-worth. If they were truly comfortable with who they are, they wouldn’t have to share it with anyone. And we all know this is true. |
| I just find it weird how parents seem to be all over them. |
I watched ours last year and actually saw the opposite. I was so happy to see kids aggressively celebrating some of the quieter or less well-known kids in the class, including ones going to programs for students with developmental disabilities at an area community college. |
Ours does! We live near a massive factory so kids will definitely post if they get one of those jobs, or if they are going into an apprentice program. They also post for trade schools and enlistments. |
Lol you are trying too hard. |
Lol. Nope. Just teaching my kids humility. |
