Let's talk about improvements in motivational cuts

I just looked at the link at the High Point 10 year old girls for that meet and they are currently swimmers at Harvard, Tennessee, BC, Georgetown, and Navy. I would consider those excellent results.

I think not 10 year old girls but overall high point. Still impressive results.

Of the 10&u girls in the final for that event, only one ended up in the top 1,000 of her class. She's #950 and is committed to Drexel.

Most of the boys who will become top end swimmers become obvious early on. Predicting the top end girls at 17-18 is a crap shoot. Take a look at the 10&u groups at the 2016 PVS JOs. Nearly all boys at the top of the heap as 10 year olds developed into high level swimmers. https://www.swimcloud.com/results/223874/event/20/ One the girls side, not so much. https://www.swimcloud.com/results/223874/event/19/

Wow, I just and looked through the results and you are right. I wonder why the huge difference in genders or what happens.

This is just one event. It doesn't tell you that much.
