I guess I would go to Snowshoe and plan to only ski like one day because the skiing is kind of crappy and I doubt they will have many slopes open (especially considering todays rain and 50 degree temps will kill the base). Research all the other thing that are offered…sleigh rides, indoor spa/pool, etc. I would imagine they offer lots of those winter activities. |
Tremblant is worth it! Very pretty and same amount of time to get there. Driving vs. flying. Prefer Tremblant any day. |
Do you fly into Montreal or have you driven from the DMV? (Seems like a lonh drive) |
Vermont has better snow and less crowds. |
Stay at deep creek lakefront
Ski at wisp That’s the best option |
I would go to either Timberline or Snowshoe over Wisp.
Wisp has limited trails open. The owners of Wisp had not invested in the infrastructure for years and it’s been failing. Pumps need to be replaced to get water up to the pond used for snowmaking. In addition there are leaks with the pipes on the mountain that need to be repaired. These issues have resulted in limited trails open last year and so far this year. Wisp limits tickets sales too to accommodate the limited terrain. If you decide to go to Wisp, make sure you have a lift ticket in advance |
Timberline is an amazing shape. And much cheaper and better quality than snowshoe. |
