2 kids different genders/ cost vs same gender

1000000x. Unless you are buying clothes from gucci this is a blip on the radar. I’m a mom of three girls. You spend money on childcare, education, and activities. Clothing and toys when they are young is a drop in the bucket.

I have two boys, now 12 and 14. I doubt we save much money in clothing or toys. The 12 year old does have a ton of hand me downs. My 14 year old also has a ton of hand me downs from friends and neighbors. But, clothing is cheap and, if you're going to get your kids something expensive clothing wise, having two kids of the same gender isn't going to matter.

That travel hockey team or competitive gymnastics is what is going to cost you.
