Is Starbucks punishing walk-in orders?

If you could see all those customers ahead of you in line, you’d have a better idea of how long the wait would be. Somebody walking in behind you might have placed their order 7 minutes before you place yours. They’re not being waited on any faster, they’re just doing some of their waiting elsewhere.

I think it’s this. It feels longer cause you don’t see the 5 or 7 orders in front of you like you’d see them if they were physically standing in front of you.

Try ordering drip coffee instead an $8 latte, you'll get your drink immediately!

First, where are all of these drive thru Starbucks??

Also, some Starbucks have a digital board inside with the name of each order, so you have a sense of how many are ahead of you.

For the price they should use better insulation on their cups.

Yes!! The other day I waited 15 minutes for egg bites. Several times I have waited 5-10 minutes for green tea. Plain green tea.

Yes, I think it’s this. Not just at Starbucks, but pretty much everywhere. There are so many online orders, and they’re invisible to you. So you think there’s no line, but really you’re in line behind 30 mobile orders.

Honestly get over your hang ups about using the app to order ahead because it is really wonderful. I love not waiting.
