Hard pass if I were you OP. Who are their distinguished alumni?

Wes Moore's press secretary is a Lynchburg grad: https://magazine.lynchburg.edu/article/living-the-dream-as-maryland-governors-press-secretary/

Good for them. Again where do most of their alum fall? This is an outlier not the norm.

You sound very juvenile.

Your assumptions are incorrect. Have you ever been to Lynchburg?

What does it matter who their alum are? This is a serious question. You think because Barack Obama or one of the Bush kids went to your own school, that means something for you?

My cousin’s kid is there playing lacrosse, he’s having a great experience as a sophomore so far. They’ve been to visit a bunch and really like it.

The stupidity and fragile nature of people is absolutely astounding.

We visited there and Roanoke and liked them both.

I think if I were a Virginia resident and were looking for a SLAC in Virginia, I would stick with the public options - Mary Wash, Longwood, Christopher Newport, W&M.

VA has great privates too that are just as good as Longwood, etc. The Vtag is free state money only for privates that brings the price down before merit.

There are multiple LACs in VA that give enough aid plus the VTAG money to make them the same price or even cheaper than the public options.

+1 These LACs (Lynchburg, Roanoke, etc.) will give students a deal if you work with the financial aid office and will negotiate the price much more than the public colleges.
