You sweet summer child. |
What are you talking about? She’s rich and constantly flying to NYC for fashion week. She just keeps up the facade of being a simple country girl, and you’ve apparently fallen for it hook, line and sinker. |
Multiple mistakes make it clear she’s not interested in learning. |
Learning what? What exactly is wrong here? You are offended? Fine, who cares. Just don't cook her food and tune her out. What gives YOU the right to demand we have to judge her? You are not important, you were never hurt by her actions, you are an irrelevant internet poster. |
She’s basically housebound in the wilderness I think we could cut her a little slack. |
As are you, dear. As are you. |
She flies to NYC frequently. Totally has opportunity to educate herself. Also her recipes are…not good. |
Looks like Tiegen’s PR team has landed. |
Have no idea who this person is, but cultural appropriation and micro aggression are just other ways of saying “I’m bored and inexplicably feel the need to pretend to be victimized by someone”.
This isn’t even first world problems, this is made-up problems. |
For real. So she called something with pineapple in it Hawaiian and now she is racist? Who cares |
+1 |
+1,000. Wanted to love her recipes, but the first one I made worked like a laxative on the entire fam. As for other controversies, I’m convinced Americans (mainly Gen Z) are officially bored AF. It’s the food network and she has a high school diploma. Her target market centers on home cooks, not history scholars. Or is this the trendy thing to be outraged about this week? 🥱 |
Further proof NYT is no longer a serious news source. |
Hawaiians? |
Tieghan runs up a mountainside every morning at 7am and works tirelessly until 11pm EARLIEST. As a very self disciplined woman, I can say her discipline and diligence leave me in the dust. The Gerards aren’t nepo babies— they’re from Ohio and both Red and Tieghan are not only gifted (and built their wealth through their gifts) but disarmingly kind and humble. She has navigated her young adulthood while building an empire because her default is to work. And work. And work. Shame on the speculation backed by zero first hand account or personal interaction with Tieghan and her family. Our mountain community adores her and I’m shocked by how many people know so little about her yet attacked so ferociously. Would love to see a NYT article on my life and my missteps (innocent but plentiful) and then have the masses weigh in…if Tieghan receives this treatment I would be eviscerated! #yikes |
