If it's really piriformis, massage is such a very temporary bandaid.
First, find out if it is short or long piroformis.

The thing is, PS is not caused by overuse or "tightness." It's UNDER use of the glute muscle.

If you want long term relief and a "cure," you HAVE to strengthen that glute. Squats, leg raises, whatever you would do in a barre class.
