Me too. I am absolutely heartbroken. We were the same age. Friends was on during my peak dating years. I dreamed of meeting a man like Chandler. I had such a crush on him. I can’t believe he’s gone. |
I really enjoyed Go On, also cancelled after one season. |
|
It said he played pickleball for 2 hours today and then was in his jacuzzi.
Seems like he was doing better, at least since the strange posts. But maybe his heart couldn’t take the exercise, maybe he was trying to be sober, or not. Either way his heart couldn’t keep up anymore. Very sad. |
| Oh no, I loved him. Very, very sad. |
| So sad. I am a few years younger than he is. In college, all my friends and I used to meet up in our dorm common room to watch together. May he rest in peace and may God have mercy on his soul. |
|
I can't believe it. I just loved him.
RIP. |
|
Rest in peace Matthew. We want people to live forever.
Live in our hearts. We won’t forget you. |
| Poor tortured guy. RIP |
I really liked him in The Odd Couple too, it lasted 3 seasons. |
Same. I’m in tears. |
| He was my favorite Friend. I enjoyed his other shows that should have had longer runs and his movies also. He’s so good it’s hard to believe he was struggling with substance abuse issues during those times. |
| PS this is a good time for a reminder to folks with known heart disease that hot tubs and saunas aren’t really a good choice for you, sadly. I’m sure his being in the hot tub was a contributing factor to his deadly cardiac arrest. |
| Booze and drugs mess up your heart over the long run. |
| TMZ was also told that there was no foul play involved, and their sources said first-responders were called to the residence for cardiac arrest. |
|
This is sad.
And weirdly, I recently rewatched the “Mr. Heckels” episode where Chandler worries that he will end up all alone with no family to mourn him. I know he had friends, but he also had addictions he could t kick. It’s eerie how, despite his fame and success—Matthew Perry’s world was dark and lonely. |
