Where to take out of towners for dinner near White House, Farragut North or closeby Red line?

Bombay club is good.

Or sfoglia?
Via Sophia is also pretty good.

Although a few of the entrees are over $30, it otherwise meets the rest of the requirements and is a part of Washington history.

This.

Not great for vegetarians. I vote Bindaas.

NOt great, but not bad either. 2 appetizers, 1 entree, 1 pasta, 4 dinner salads, 2 burgers. So there are choices.

Crap, I just realized they are in the process of moving, though within the same neighborhood. So you'd want to see if they're open first. Other options could be Tonic, Sichuan Pavillion, or Via Sophia.

I would also look at this. It is very similar to Ebbitt (same restaurant group) but doesn't book out as far in advance. Good for groups with dietary issues.

Even though I think they have the same owner, the food at the Hamilton is better than that at Old Ebbitt.
