my kid hates her private school. should we transfer back to public now, at end of semester, or at end of year?

My only concern is, for full year classes, how will the transfer process to public work? I understand when the semester ends, but how will it affect her calculated GPA in the new school for classes that go beyond the semester? I am not suggesting you keep her someplace she doesn't like forever, but are there academic advantages to staying put till the end of the year?

She's hesitant to switch, solely because of appearances and disappointing her current school. I said to do what's really in her heart (I trust her)

In general, I've recently learned that life is too short to be miserable if you can avoid it.

Well, if she's hesitant to switch, I wouldn't intercede. She sounds like she's coping with the situation pretty well, all things considered.
