| If you can attend, go to one of the play dates over the summer - a great way for you child to meet classmates and for you to meet other families. Welcome! This is our 4th year at LS - we've loved it. |
| Hullo PP. We're having a surprisingly hard time getting a carpool going for our child who will be starting next month. Any suggestions? Thank you. |
|
Not the PP.
Have you asked the admissions people to help identify other families who live close to you? |

re: Carpool
For purposes of getting a carpool started -- here's what we did, and is what worked out well. The on-line parent/student directory has a zip code search function. Using it, we identified a few families in our area and reached out to them. I understand that the on-line directory was to be "under construction" until sometime this month. If it's back up and running, this may be a good option, if you haven't already tried it. |
| Using the zip code option is probably your best bet. Don't take it personally if people are not responsive. Sometimes, mornings are hard to carpool especially if you have kids at different schools or you have older ones who want to be at school earlier. I usually found the afternoon was easier to work out a carpool. |
Not taking it personally at all, but since we both work we are happy to drive in the mornings if someone can do pick up in the afternoons. Also, how do people feel about aftercare and SPARC? |
| Love aftercare, love SPARC. Fabulous options! |
| Aftercare and SPARC seem to be universally enjoyed by the kids. Ours consistently asks to go to Aftercare for more days than we're signed up. |

Obama kids are in for just a 4 year stint, after they will be gone.
Sarah Palin will win the presidency and bring her kids !!!! |
| They would go to Landon though. |
| My DD LOVES after care - I tried to cut back her days last year thinking it would be nice to get her early a few days... she begged to go so we are back to 5 days this year! |
In what grade is your DD? |
