Is a garage worthwhile?

This would be for convenience, keeping the car cleaner/safer, adding an EV charger, and outdoor storage for bikes and strollers etc. It's definitely not *necessary*, which is why we'd like to better understand how it might affect home value.

I'd do it and maybe make a covered walk to the house. You may have no offstreet parking issues now but that can change based on who moves in nearby. Enough people with 2-3 cars per house? Multiple people hosting at same time can have you blocs away fom your house.

Personally love having a garage. It wasn’t on my list of things to look for in a house, but ended up with one and now I’d say it is among my favorite things about my house. Not cleaning snow and frost from windows is key. Also, not getting out into rain is so nice. Like coming home from grocery shopping this morning was a much better experience because I pulled in to the garage and unloaded from there.
