Dinner near Boston College

The only time that happens is if they need to go to CVS or go to a grocery store. They are primarily on campus during the week unless they go to a Red Sox game etc. On the weekends they go visit friends at other college campuses in the area (BU,MIT), go to the North End for dinner, do a concert or game at TD Garden or go walk around/shop Newbury Street. Good luck!

This is true - but when they move off campus for Junior year and when they can legally drink they will definitely spend time in Cleveland Circle. Almost never for freshmen.

thanks for this - it confirms that my kid really only "needs" to do the campus tour since she's familiar with the other spots you mentioned. I'll just book a dinner reservation wherever looks good, which is probably something near our hotel.

Not OP (but PP who said they'll spend time in Cleveland Circle as they get older). Definitely just need the campus tour. Enjoy Boston for dinner (or even a suburb if that's where your hotel is).

With so many college students in Boston - the reason I went to MIT/BU was to visit friends at those schools - or friends visiting friends at those schools - and go to parties there when invited. BC had plenty of options, but it's still fun to go other schools and other schools' parties sometimes. That's part of what makes Boston such a fun place to go to college.

There is so much to do around BU. ( I guess MIT is the same since it’s close.) You can consider the whole city as your campus.

There are bars in between BC/BU that both schools students frequent (esp those around Comm Ave/Harvard Ave)

Why? Is it pretty impressive?
Yes! It's great! (in its own right but especially impressive for those of us who had to use the Plex)
