West end alexandria, falls church and some arlington ones are pretty bare. |
I tend to take books while on walks as well. Every so often I'll put the ones I've finished in a backpack and return them to random libraries along my walk. |
OP. This is what I may try to do. Just need to plan ahead! |
That's the best way to do it! Thanks on behalf of your community! |
We have a little library that gets raised periodically. People drive up, take all the books and drive away.
Whatever you’re doing is fine. |

I think ad long as you put book back into free rotation some how it’s fine.
Little free library to another little free library. |
THose are must be resellers. |
How could anyone possibly make enough money to make the time worthwhile. |
You can find them mapped out in your area online, though they don't always show up in the right place.
There's one outside Sidwell school in Bethesda that's quite neglected and a ton in Bradley Hills which are often over flowing. If I take a book that I keep and love I'm always sure to put good books back in that library for new people. |
+1 I always donate and i rarely take any out- don’t worry about it, enjoy the books! |
Black sharpie on all the barcodes and stamp them. If they can't scan the barcodes, they often give up. There are little free library stamps on etsy that say "Always for free, never for sale." |
Some people deliberately removed their boxes from the LFL app because the resellers use that app. |
If I take one out, I put it back in the LFL. If I forget to put the same one back, then I put a different one in from home that I've been meaning to donate.
It is called Little Free LIBRARY. So, I do think of it as a library. I recently saw the local LFL empty. What is wrong with people? They shouldn't raid them. |
There are also nuts who are targeting LFLs and LFPs (Little Free Pantries) because they think anything that doesn't promote their view must be purged. It's really exhausting when all you want to do is share some stuff with your neighbors and these people ruin it for everyone. ![]() ![]() |
