Which school suits him better. I am not that familiar with Duke's campus but Penn and Cornell are worlds apart.
|
+1 |
Other than the joke Niche rankings, I don’t see Duke ranked #1 for public policy. It’s also not top ten for Economics either. Stanford is better than Duke in just about every comparable discipline. Why do Dukies always overrate the academics of the school? |
| Stanford May be better than Duke. Bit Duke is extremely prestigious and coveted too |
| I think of Duke as being more religious than Penn or Cornell. Is that true these days? |
| Not from what I know and hear. |
Penn is better than duke imo but Penn ppe is notorious for kids who didn’t get into Wharton Penn ppe students are not as strong as huntsman scholars or the vast majority of Wharton students It’s a side program that’s “Wharton overflow” |
ummm does it not depend on major? the CS dept in Duke looks so shabby and miserable. |
|
These comparisons are stupid and ONLY based on USNEWS rankings.
If you want warmer weather, suburban school with big time D1 sports…then Duke and then look at schools like Duke. If you want rural and don’t mind cools weather than Cornell. If you want urban…then Penn The supposed academic differences are minuscule. I honestly would think someone that really wants Duke would be happier at UNC than either Cornell or Penn. |
| Cornell unless URM, that is all Penn wants, and Duke is full of zombies. |
No. Absolutely not. |
This is the most important kernel of truth. My kid chose Cornell over higher "ranked" schools. |
| If interested in public policy, definitely Duke. Their program is the top. |
+1 Duke Samford school is insanely good! Top professors and oppotunities |
