I agree that The Amazing Race and the Great British Baking Show are great reality options. For the PP who mentioned that their kids liked the season with the Holderness couple but not others, try the season with Bethany Hamilton and her then-boyfriend (now husband). Bethany is awesome and really inspirational. We loved her on TAR.

I'll also recommend the Netflix version of Lost In Space. Our whole family enjoyed that.

Thanks to several PPs for reminding me about The Inbestigators. My DS loved that. It's a great suggestion for OP.
