It’s the same principle, to bring people into your cult by making them feel strong and special. And it’s really ironic because Mussolini (and Hitler who perfected it) really loved those oceanic rallies where he was the one making all the talking and directing everything with his supporters (real or just forced) all dressed up the same with the black shirts all listening in line ready to obey.
