| I know people like to hate on it, but I’ve flown Spirit a handful of times no issue and would do so again. R southwest was the one that just had the major holiday blowup because their IT systems are so out of date. |
| Fly southwest. I'm so picky that I will generally only fly first class or business class, but even I enjoy the camp and ease of a southwest flight. That's my one exception-- I prefer 1st class on Delta but in a pinch, southwest will do. |

Southwest gives you free checked bags, and free flight changes.
Frontier charges you for everything- checked bag, carry-on bags, seat assignment, beverages, etc. Spirit duck tapes you to the outside of the plane. |
| Oh man, I just came to this forum to ask if anyone has flown Spirit recently (I last flew it in 2011, pretty bad experience) as it's the only nonstop at the time I need. I guess I should look for other options . . . |

Spirit and frontier are terrible.
Sw is the same as every other airline. You can’t compare the three. Spirit and frontier literally charge you to get on the plane. |
+1 No matter what, you'll end up in FL. |
I think in this scenario — wanting to get the f out of town — a connecting flight on a regular airline is the way to go. Because frontier and spirit cancel flights all the time, and you do not want to stay another day. Especially bc price is not concern, fly business on a regular airline so you aren’t stranded for three days in tallahassee when you just want to get home to boise. Sometimes a layover is worth it. |
This. Take the flight that gets you home soonest since that seems to be your clear priority. |
| Frontier. I flew RT to Denver no issue! I would not fly SW and I HATE SW. Even if you pay for A1-10 boarding (which I always do), you will have a bunch of disabled and possibly pretending to be disabled people saving entire rows for their families. |
So? You’ll still have your pick of 80% of the rows on the plane. |
“Spirit duck tapes you to the outside of the plane” is my new favorite quote. |
But the other fliers are all low class and fight |
| I wouldn’t want to spend an extra day in a city I didn’t like for business. I would do a red eye on a better airline with a connecting flight if your company will pay fir business/first class. If not just fly frontier. Flew it to Denver and it was fine. |

I fly Southwest out of BWI to many domestic locations because they’re non-stop service is the best. Coming from the West coast, take the earliest flight that gets you back East. Don’t even think about the other two. |
