Question about moving to MCPS mid year

What type of scheduling program does your current school use? MCPS has a 7 period school day. In general, you take the class all year. (for example, you will take English 10 all year long).

If you come from a block schedule school system (4 classes one semester, 4 classes second semester) your student may have difficulty jumping into a class the student was not already taking. If that is the case, I would carefully schedule the classes at the current school to be those classes most difficult to jump into midstream. That could mean scheduling math at the former school but waiting to take PE after he comes to MCPS.
