Sheppard Pratt or KKI school for 3rd grader

OP here, on the PP question above : No our SESES was not FVES, and subsequently I understand the program was rejigged as there were several lawsuits against it and irregularities were uncovered. So this has been addressed it seems (quoting from the people in the know), we are going non-public placement as I noted above and away from the SESES route.

Hello I am wondering if you found a placement for your child. If so, where?

Yes I did, non-public placement. DC improved enough within a year to go back to MCPS with heavy supports. My kid and the whole family were scarred for life with the experience, would not recommend it to my worst enemy. I’ll disclose more details once things settle down, as this is still a very a case in motion. Please pray for us.

I am so sorry youre going through this. It sounds like (based on previous post in 2023) your DC will be entering middle school next year?
My DC has a similar profile, and also tested low (5%) for processing.
It's crazy because the doctor can not figure it out.

In contrast, I did non-public placement for my then 4th grader. It was life changing. DC is now almost fully mainstreamed at HS. His IEP really doesn't do much these days in his mostly AP classes.
