No requirement to partake of all three. |
This sort of complaint, I’ll never understand. If they don’t work for you, don’t eat them. There are plenty of other things you could eat instead. I’ll happily eat all the pita, pilaf, and potatoes. |
| If this is in the summer, and assuming no allergies, I’d serve seafood. Scallops or shrimp in lemon/garlic/white wine over linguine. Or grilled mahi with something like mango salsa. |
These all sound amazing! |
There’s literally a dozen options. It’s on you to make good choices. |
|
I would ask for dietary preferences and make something that works.
If in the summer, can't go wrong with steaks and scallops. I would either sous vide and finish in the pan or grill the steaks. |

Get takeout and put it on fancy plates.
Boom. Done. |

Depending on dietary restrictions or preferences, I like:
- Grilled whole king salmon fillet, grilled vegetables (asparagus or a mixed zucchini / bell pepper / onion medley), rice or a small pasta like orzo with lemon and herbs. Or roasted if weather is not conducive to grilling. Add a seasonal salad and a couple of appetizers. - Marinated flank steak, mashed potatoes, roasted brussels sprouts, and a steakhouse salad. Side basket of rosemary bread. - Grilled assortment of marinated chicken kabobs, cilantro-lime shrimp skewers, grilled tomato halves, grilled vegetables, flatbread. Start with a veggie tray, pita chips, tzaziki and hummus. |
