Which celebrities are normal people

Perhaps Paulina Porizkova? I feel like she’s embracing aging and that’s something that’s very normal -we all age.

"Embracing aging" is really fraught when it comes to Paulina. I like her, I follow her on Instagram, but I wouldn't say she's normal in any regard. She was impossibly beautiful and led her whole life starting at 15 being valued for her looks above all else and she is mourning the loss of that that comes with aging. I do think she is maturing emotionally now that her social currency has devalued with age, but it's also kind of cringe because she clearly is trying to hold onto that desperately. Sure, she's not doing botox or surgery, but she's doing every goddamn thing else (lasers, thermogenesis, extreme dieting, personal trainers, etc) and has to constantly post near naked pics to show she's still got it. "You too can be sexy at almost 60! Check out my abs!" *

*If you were supermodel gorgeous and committed to nothing but physical improvement for your whole life.

I don't think that's normal. Doesn't resonate with me or anyone I know at least.

DCUM celeb nanny here - Obviously can’t list anyone I’ve worked for, so those will be omitted from the list. Celebs I have met through my employers and who are wonderful: Sandra Bullock, Reece Witherspoon, Ricky Martin, Kelly Clarkson, Dolly Parton, Rihana, Taylor Swift, Keanu Reeves, Ryan Golsling, Tom Hanks, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, Bono, Mila Kunis, Jennifer Garner, and Michael J Fox.

Known to be awful employers in the nanny community (allegedly, so I don’t get sued): Pierce Brosnan, Alec & Hilaria Baldwin, Kourtney Kardashian, Meghan Markle, James Corden, Adam Levine, and Jerry Seinfeld.

Pierce Brosnan? This makes me sad as he seemed nice. His wife is beautiful but far from having a Hollywood body. This is disappointing.

Yeah, all her naked pictures - too thirsty, too needy. It’s constant and off-putting. There has to be more than an epic battle against aging, or endlessly grappling with aging, even for someone like her who made a living on her looks. She’s still very beautiful, and most women cannot dream of looking like that. I can’t read one more of her posts.

Pp, I’ve been reading DCUM for over a decade now and your post is my favorite one ever. Not sure why, but thanks!

Any insight on Harrison Ford? He has always struck me as really down to earth and not entirely comfortable with the whole celebrity thing. I have a few 2nd or 3rd hand contacts through the general aviation community and he's reputed to be "one of the guys", at least in that setting. Really curious whether that's true overall.

Well, some of us are basing our posts on having actually worked with the people (not gotten their autograph or followed them on social media).

I mean we were not married to them, but that is a real life experience that tells you something about a person.

The more famous they are the less normal they are. You can definitely be not normal and easy to work with in the celebrity world. A lot of these celebrity assistants are also "not normal" and can be way more difficult than their employer. Especially if you are dealing with the assistants before an event and then the celebrity during the event.

I feel like this confirms what I already thought about all of these celebs, except Pierce Brosnan, who strikes me as a decent guy.

Ooooooh, celebrity nanny, can you hang out and chat today? It's a quiet day in offices, LOL.

I've heard Mila Kunis on a bunch of podcasts and she SEEMS so nice and down to earth ... glad she made the nice list. Also a little surprised about Pierce Brosnan.

My mom interacted with Harrison Ford for week ages ago (over 20 years ago) and still happily recounts how nice and friendly and easy-going he was.
She also said Reece Witherspoon was wonderful.
